Alice Mauk ( Annie Nations ) Alice has been involved in all aspects of theater through out Southeastern Ohio and Clarksburg, WV for over 30 years. To quote her "I have directed, produced and appeared in too many productions to list." She does admit that her favorites as director include Sound of Music at the Living Word, Annie and Barnum at Secrest. As for on stage roles, Grace and Glorie, On Golden Pond, Gin Game and Morning’s at Seven. She keeps involved in theater by directing Dinner Theater for Genesis and doing "an occasional show for Rich"
She retired as Public Relations Coordinator for Muskingum County Library Systems but continues being involved in the community, serving on the Boards of Genesis HealthCare Foundation, Genesis HealthCare Advisory Board, and Helen Purcell Board of Lady Managers.
She and her husband, Whiten, reside in Zanesville and will celebrate their 51st anniversary during the production of Foxfire.
As for this production, "I always enjoy working with Rich and Shelley and especially in this production, working with Bob Skidmore. I was fortunate to direct Bob in many musicals in his early years in community theater. Foxfire is an excellent show with an outstanding cast. I know all will enjoy."
Robert Skidmore ( Hector Nations ) Muskingum County native Bob Skidmore has been performing as an actor, singer, songwriter and musician for over 25 years.
Appearing in local community theater, regional and summer stock theatres around the country, Bob has performed roles like Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, Pseudolous in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The King in Cinderella, and Carriere in Phantom. In 1999, bob originated the role of Varnel in the world premiere of a comedy called Thunderstruck in Possum Grape, and toured nationally in 2002, as Pap Finn in the Tony Award winning musical Big River.
Aside from stage roles, Bob has appeared in several music and variety shows, like Beckley, West Virginia's Music in the Mountains, Pikeville, Kentucky's Mountain Jamboree, and Western Virginia's Carter Family Fold. And in 1999, Bob co-created and performed in Where's the Band, Where's the Food, a tribute to the last songwriter Harry Chapin.
Bob has appeared with the jazz/rock trio Selectively Deaf in concert appearances featuring their original music. Bob's original compositions have won honorable mention at the John Lennon songwriting Contest in 2000 and 2001. these songs are among the selections on Bob's first album, entitled From Cradle.., recorded with Selectively Deaf in 1999 and 2000.
Bob currently resides in rural Licking County, with his wife Laura.
Matt Schmitt ( Prince Carpenter ) I have just recently started performing in the local theaters. Although my real job allows me to instruct adults in a class setting, I thought performing in front of an audience would sharpen my creativity. I am glad Rich chose me as Prince but I have mixed feelings. Did I get the part because I am a sleazy salesman or that I have access to a pigs head?
Lisa Ridenour ( Holly Burrell ) - I had never heard of this play and when I found out more about it, I was interested. I have been in plays, musicals and several choirs. Music is my joy. Please support all the arts, and thank you for supporting Zanesville Community Theatre.
Todd King ( Dillard Nations ) Todd has been involved with ZCT since moving to Zanesville in the early 90’s. He has participated in many facets of the theater. Recent stage performances include participation in Working, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and The Mystery of Irma Vep. He read several of the Foxfire books while in high school (primarily because he thought he could get the plans together for his own still…) He never made his own “mash”, but looks forward to bringing to life this stage production as Dillard. Enjoy the show.
Bruce Revennaugh  ( Doctor ) Bruce is a stage veteran appearing in shows including The Sunshine Boys, Greater Tuna, Twelve Angry Men, To Kill A Mockingbird, Fiddler on the Roof and his most recent stage appearance in Do Black Patent Leather Shoes Really Reflect Up? He brings a quiet self confidence and foxy wit to the role of 'The Doctor' in Foxfire where he's more than ready to deal with the ever-bargaining Hector who doesn't like to part with money even as his wife Annie is about to go into labor.

Bruce enjoys a good book, a great movie and the time spent with his wife Darla.

Director's Note -

I direct shows because they speak to me. I read some of the Foxfire books in the early 70's - my Grandfather had them - they spoke to me - about a way of life, about people true to themselves whose primary concern was day to day living - no frills, warm and dry and enough to eat, the good book on the table and the moonshine tucked away for an occasion. Story tellers, ballad singers, traders, artisans and craftsman, family and farms, a blend of old and new. I knew these people or people like them. My ancestors, my grandparents - they are a part of me.
I hope you see in this story what I see. I'd love to sit with you on the porch, sip some mint flavored tea, watch the sun set and talk about it. Good conversation is a lot like live theater. It's not a lost art, but you have to work at it and like the characters in Foxfire - it's nothing to shy away from.

Shelley Tolliver (Producer, Assistant Director) Shelley is often Assistant Director and Producer to husband Richard's theatrical adventures. Foxfire is no different. It is a show that has been on Rich's 'Directing Wish List' for many years now. It's a show that has everything! The writing (by Susan Cooper and actor Hume Cronyn) engulfs readers into a world where you can smell the mountain air. The actors and actresses have enthusiastically joined in to create a show to be counted among our favorites. The characters are solid - even the ghost! It's a story of living history and the true grit of those who live it.
When not behind the theatrical scenes she's enjoying artistic opportunities of being a ZAAP member as well as working with her husband in his carpentry/remodeling business R. L. Tolliver & Company. He builds the world and I paint it! is how I put it. It is a rewarding experience to create or enhance a piece of someone's world and see how happy they are when you are finished. I've never had a better job.
Welcome to Foxfire and it's characters. Thank you for supporting the arts and Zanesville Community Theatre.
Darla Revennaugh (Musical Director)
Stacy Clawson  ( Assistant Producer ) I'm a teacher for Franklin Local School District. I've been working behind the scenes for almost two years while my son enjoys the stage life. I enjoy the theatre people and audiences and look forward to many more years with this theatre.
Melissa Romano ( Production Assistant ) I have been in a few plays in high schoo and the Big River production with Zanesville Community Theatre. I enjoy the arts and am looking forward to the show.
Shirley Perry ( Production Assistant )Shirley enjoys the theater and has studied it some. She has spent a couple of seasons working back stage for the Live Entertainment Dept at Cedar Point and did an internship at the Children's Theater of
Lexington in Lexington, KY. Her past ZCT productions have included The Octette Bridge Club, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Charlotte's Web. Currently, she works at The Wilds and is the proud auntie of nine.
